FALL 2024
PRIMARY RECRUITMENT

Welcome to the University of Houston! We are thrilled that you are interested in Fall Recruitment. Registration is now OPEN and will close on September 12th at 11:59 PM. Please check this page regularly for more updates on recruitment!

About Primary Recruitment:

At the University of Houston, Panhellenic Primary Recruitment takes place early during the Fall semester every year. During recruitment, you will get the chance to meet with sisters from every chapter. Through four rounds and a process of mutual selection, you will find a house that best suits you. We encourage women to keep an open mind during this process as you meet a community of Panhellenic women who are excited to get to know you. Joining a sorority at the University of Houston is an exciting journey of personal growth, lifelong connections, and building community. Be your authentic self and choose a sisterhood that aligns with your values and will motivate you to be the best version of yourself.

To be eligible to go through Panhellenic Primary Recruitment, a woman must be a student at the University of Houston. The University of Houston and Houston Panhellenic Council wish to highlight the importance of academics. HPC encourages all women to go through recruitment and does not require a minimum GPA to do so. However, HPC does encourage all potential new members to be fully educated on GPA and enrollment membership standards set by individual chapters. While there is no GPA or credit hour enrollment requirement to register, each chapter has their own recruitment requirements, which can be found here on each chapter's page.

It is also important for each PNM to be aware of financial obligations of sorority membership prior to registering for recruitment. Not every chapter offers scholarships or payment plans to new members, so it is encouraged to be educated on each chapter's total costs and offerings, which can also be found here.

How to Register:

Online registration will begin June 1st and end on September 12th, prior to the beginning of recruitment. Please note we do not accept paper applications. At the end of the application, you will also be asked to pay a registration fee as you submit your registration form.

The Recruitment Registration Fee, paid to the Houston Panhellenic Council, is used to assist in the management, promotion, and coordination of this leadership development experience for college women.
